Now that it's summer, and your skin finally sees some sun again, you naturally want to stroll in your summer outfit with your jewellery! Unfortunately, it is true that sun, sea, swimming pool, sweat and sunburn are not really conducive to the preservation of your jewellery.
MAMALOVES has put together a list of some of our top tips on how to keep your jewellery looking as beautiful as the day you got it! Just follow these simple steps for jewellery that will sparkle and shine for years to come…

1. Wear 14k Solid Gold!

Well.. of course the tip with the most expensive price tag, but it is true: Gold remains beautiful forever, even in the summer! We have a beautiful collection of 14k solid gold jewellery. 2. Keep your jewellery away from chemicals

Your new jewellery should be the finishing touch to your outfit – that means putting it on after you’ve applied your make-up and sprayed any perfume, hairspray, lotions or other beauty products. The chemicals in these products can damage your jewellery and reduce its lustre, so avoid letting them come into contact with each other.

Fine jewelry should be removed before using household cleaners. Many of these cleaners contain ammonia, which can be too harsh for delicate gems or vintage jewelry.

3. Remove your jewellery in water

Especially in the case of chlorinated water! Always take off any jewellery before getting into a pool or making a trip to the spa.

You should also remove your jewellery before showering and bathing, as even plain water can cause metal to lose its lustre.

Always remove your jewellery when exercising at the gym or during contact sports.

4. Keep away from direct sunlight

Prolonged exposure to light and heat can impact the colour and durability of many materials, so make sure to protect your jewellery from these harsh conditions.

When you’re not wearing your new jewellery design, be sure to store it in a cool, dark place out of direct sunlight.

4. Safely store your jewellery
